Abstract:

It is taught to students that when a ball is dropped on the ground it rebounds upwards. But it is a qualitative observation. This observation needs to be quantitatively confirmed. There are no experimental evidences that such observations are quoted in the literature. So experimental set up and procedure is described in the discussion. To take into account the shape, compositions etc. of the body the law is speculatively generalized ( reaction is proportional to action) within domain of Newtonian mechanics.
